About Robert

As the managing partner of Stone & Company, LLC, Rob works with business owners, CFOs, controllers and finance directors of privately-held companies and non-profit organizations, providing financial statement audits as well as other assurance and advisory services for these small business and non-profit clients throughout New England and beyond.

Rob also has experience performing Service Organization Controls (SOC) engagements, due diligence engagements related to mergers and acquisitions, internal control reviews, forensic accounting and litigation support. Advisory projects have included revenue recognition, and technical accounting support for other complex transactions, and Rob and his team service privately-held companies across these areas. Additionally, Rob has taught college level courses at several Boston area universities. During his career, he has delivered speeches and authored technical articles on internal controls, business combinations, and fair value measurements, as well as serving as a panelist on topics that include career issues for accounting graduates and young professionals as well as diversity and inclusion matters.
