September 11th, 2001

On September 11 America was attacked by terrorists.  This horrific act that

killed thousand of innocent people ignited a movement of unity around the

world.  People have transcended their differences and have come together.

For the past 8 years World Unity, Inc., a non-profit organization of volunteers

has been on a mission to build a symbol that would lift humanity to this greater

vision of the world.  Its message of hope and unity is conveyed in these four

simple lines that will be inscribed in a glass tower and illuminated

Are you greater than the sun

that shines on everyone: Black,

Brown, Yellow, Red and White

the sun does not discriminate.

In light of the tragedy that has changed the world we want to dedicate The Sun

Unity Tower to September 11th as a day that united the world and honor all those

who died and those whose lives have been touched by this tragic event.

World Unity Inc. has received endorsements from Senator Kennedy, Senator

Kerry, the late Congressman Joseph Moakley, Acting Governor Jane Swift

and an award from Mayor Menino.  We have also received support from over

25 organizations across the Commonwealth as well as raised over a quarter of

a million dollars to date.  Right now we are working with the MBTA who

have embraced the project to be sited on their land.

On October 19th. World Unity, Inc., an organization of volunteers is holding

its 5th Annual Fundraising Event at the grand Ballroom of the Royal Sonesta

Hotel.  Tickets are $100.  All the proceeds to benefit the construction of The Sun

Unity Tower.  Check our website at www.worldunityinc.org for more
