World Unity, Inc.’s Goal To Build The World Unity Landmark
In 2001 we were designated by the MBTA to be part of the development of Children’s Wharf Park. We’ve been dedicated to finalizing the site with the respective stakeholders. In 2008 Mayor Menino recommended our landmark serve as the icon for Children’s Wharf Park. The World Unity Landmark will not only empower individuals but strengthen our community with a unifying vision that is timeless and universal. It will help foster a climate in Massachusetts that welcomes diversity and inclusion. Benefits of the World Unity Landmark One strategy to reduce bias and prejudice is by developing awareness around the issue of diversity and inclusion. Our landmark with its compelling poem offers a powerful educational message that develops a new awareness. Everyone will have access to it. It’s empowering, transformative, enlightening and can inspire the world. This park sits right next to the Boston Children’s Museum which receives an estimated 400,000 visitors every year. It will be reaching families and children of each generation. Our landmark will reach these visitors and also those who come from around the world to attend conferences at the convention center in the seaport district. The World Unity Landmark impact will be far reaching. Its timeless and universal message fosters a climate of diversity and inclusion impacting each generation. |
